Bag Ground

For now, you've probably heard of the recipes in advance to have frozen meals on hand for busy nights. There are many books on the subject and even companies as Dream Dinners, where the customer will assemble your meals for freezing. Have you thought, WOW, what a great idea! But that is what was achieved. You do not have the extra money to dream dinners and still struggle to put dinner on the table at night after night. Thus you can easily change that! I say easily because, for the beginner, is easy to start preparing the meal before your freezer.

Marinate Meat

The easiest way to begin the preparation of meals before freezing it with meat and marinate. The home page of its prospectus usually edible meat shows that are on sale. Only by buying meat in the supermarket when they go on sale, I figure I saved about $ 50 a year in chicken. True, but I will not bore you with math! If the chicken breast is the selling for less than $ 2 per. lb, I like to buy at least six pounds at a time, an average of twice a month.

Chicken Thighs

Quite starting with six pounds of chicken breasts, make it even easier by starting with the purchase of two each, two half-kilo packages of chicken thighs. Each £ 2 package will contain six to eight chicken thighs and serve a family of medium well. For any of my recipe for chicken teriyaki, or my recipe for Thai chicken, simply double the recipe and set it aside. I have two vacuum sealed bags of Reynolds with the appropriate item, cooking instructions, and the date marked on the bags. I put six to eight pieces of chicken in each bag. Then pour half the marinade in each bag and seal the top. Lay flat to vacuum, using the Reynolds Handi-Vac vacuum sealer, which is the subject of my last article. It is not necessary to use a vacuum sealer, but I recommend the small investment (average cost $ 10.00) as the use of a vacuum sealer preserves the freshness, flavor and texture of your foods frozen. Once sealed, place in freezer bags. When ready to cook, take one of the bags out the day before defrosting in the refrigerator and stove as directed.

I have a son in college, and I like to prepare individual portions of Thailand and the chicken teriyaki for him to bring his bedroom room. I use quarter size bags Reynolds for their portions. With the instructions written on the bags, is a complement for him to cook these up, and he is the envy of all your friends in the bedroom!

Hamburger Meat

Once you get the taste of food freezing front (pun intended) that you can love this way of pre-prepared meals. Thus go ahead, do not let the big record 4 pounds of hamburger meat scares you! Over time, only a little preparation now, which is about four, four served after meals! Start with making four ¼ pound of hamburger patties. Place a piece of wax paper between each patty and place on four hamburgers Reynold sealer vacuum bag and sealed. If your family loves tacos, ground 1 pound of meat and add taco seasoning as directed. Once your taco meat is cooled completely ready for sealing in a vacuum bag. This works the same way for sloppy joes too. Prepare fresh freezing for a quick meal on busy nights.

Marinated Steak Tips

Check your brochure of edible beef tips are on sale! In my grocery store, that can save up to .50 per pound. My recipe for marinated steak tips is a family favorite. For my family, I will buy three pounds of steak tips and double my recipe meat to marinate. Following the same general instructions above the middle, the place for steak tips in each bag with half the marinade and freeze.

If you has never tried to freeze ahead meals before, I hope you are inspired to give it a try. I love the opening of freezing to the variety of homemade meals waiting, and marinate the meat, that's just the beginning!
